Question: I fractured my wrist, had surgery and now have nerve damage that create extreme aching then numbness in my hand. How can I lead a laughter session without being able to clap? Answer: There is always hope. We congratulate you for contacting us instead of giving up. Who said you could only use your hands to clap and make noise? Stomping your feet is the next best alternative that will do the same job. Clapping in a laughter session is there first and foremost to help you regain control of the group. I would tell people upfront that you can't clap and will therefore stomp your feet while chanting ho-ho-ha-ha-ha instead. When that happens, those who hear/see you and can clap should do so as well. | |
